Gosford Water Polo

A big thank you must go out to Tim Day and family for the donation of our new BBQ. It is certainly much needed and is a valuable asset in our fundraising efforts. Come and try a bacon and egg sandwich or a sausage at our home games and I am sure you will taste the difference!! Already our BBQ fundrasing efforts have raised over $350 which is used to pay for our new clocks. (P.S. Aren’t the clocks great!. -Thanks Ash Faulder for researching and ordering the clocks for Gosford!)

Supporters of which Central Coast Club are apparantly unaware of the rule that you can’t block a pass or shot with two arms out of the water, and expressed their dismay to our refs? The photo above gives a good clue!

Horrendous weather did not stop Gosford’s juniors put in strong performances in the local competition last weekend at both Gosford and Wyong pools.

Well done to all concerned on another fantastic week.

Congratulations to two of Gosford’s U16 boys Lachie Faulder and Jai McNamara in winning the prestigious Canberra Cup! The boys competed in the U18 section with a combined team called the City Country Pirates and both were instrumental in going through the tournament undefeated.

Nicole Chaney is another Gosford player who is to be congratulated on her efforts representing Broken Bay Diocese at the PSSA tournament at Sutherland. Good Luck

Good luck to Tegan Bugden, Rosie Stimson and Corey Allan who are representing Sydney North in the PSSA tournament at Sutherland on Monday 28/11/11!

Well done to Lachlan Walter (CCC), Jai McNamara and Lachlan Faulder (CIS), Jess McNamara(CIS) and Daniel Heard (res. CHS) on their achievements in gaining selection! Good luck at the next level!
